About Us
About CCWT
CCWT is a high quality training organisation and has been a leader in supporting and developing workers in complex human service environments for over 30 years. Our trainers are experienced practitioners, who provide up to date learning using interactive training techniques that reinforce the transfer of the learning into the workplace. We are the training organisation of choice for many organisations in the child protection and out of home care spaces.
Our Statewide Training Calendar offers subsidised training to workers in the community sector in New South Wales, and is made possible through funding from the NSW Department of Family and Community Services. We also deliver tailored training directly to teams and organisations, coordinate training projects in specific topic areas and roll out workforce capacity building initiatives.
Advantages unique to CCWT are:
- As a non-profit we can offer good value for money invested.
- We have over 30 years of experience in offering learning and development opportunities to the human services sector.
- We encourage the use of self-assessment tools to gauge the level of individual’s abilities prior to undertaking a module. This improves the decisions made about which training is appropriate or required for a staff member. Reducing unnecessary training reduces cost and staff dissatisfaction with the professional development process.
The Centre for Community Welfare Training (CCWT) is the learning and development arm of the Association of Children’s Welfare Agencies (ACWA). We are a Registered Training Organisation (number 90494).
