This workshop begins with the development of work plans and the systems needed to monitor work, provide feedback and coaching to staff, to initiate and manage performance support and improvement systems. This workshop is particularly useful for managers of small teams or organisations that do not have trained human resource staff.
Participants can expect to cover the following topic areas:
- Development of performance indicators, standards and work plans
- Design of performance management and review systems
- Development of performance improvement plans
- Providing effective feedback to employees (both formal and informal)
- Supervision, coaching and mentoring skills to improve worker performance
- Legal responsibilities in staff termination
