Deidre Ikin works in private practice in the Blue Mountains, NSW and a non-government family service providing early intervention services to families and children. 

She has 26 years experience working in health and community services in regional, rural and remote Australia addressing mental health, drug and alcohol misuse, family violence, sexual assault and complex inter-generational loss and trauma with individuals, groups and communities.

Deidre has extensive experience working with Indigenous communities, Stolen Generations and the effects of institutional abuse. She is a qualified social worker, drug and alcohol counselor, health practitioner and narrative therapist who has presented at international conferences and published in several journals.
