Nicole has 28 years' experience working in the community services sector and in the education and training sector. She has worked in the areas of child protection, domestic and family violence, case management, out of home care, intensive support services, adolescent services, family assessment, disaster welfare, management, and adult education and training.Nicole has a demonstrated ongoing commitment to ensuring that practitioners are well supported and continue to develop their skills and knowledge whilst working in the sector. She is also a strong believer that self-care combined with reflective practice contributes to best practice.
Nicole has extensive specialist child protection experience, having worked in both Australia and the UK, as a practitioner, manager and trainer. Nicole runs her own business developing and delivering training for the child protection, NDIS, health and community services sectors. Nicole also has a specialist interest in working with adolescents and running workshops for this age group and their parents and carers.
She has previously worked for TAFE NSW as a Teacher, Head Teacher and Senior Education Officer. Nicole also works for Resilience NSW as a Team Leader in the NSW State Disaster Welfare Services, responding to disasters such fire, floods and health matters, and assisting those in need during these critical times and during the recovery process.
