Nicole Devereux

Nicole has 33 years’ experience working in the community services sector and in the education and training sector. She has worked in the areas of child protection, domestic and family violence, case management, out of home care, intensive support services, adolescent services, family assessment, disaster welfare, management, and adult education and training.
Nicole has extensive specialist child protection experience, having worked in both Australia and the UK, as a practitioner, manager and trainer. Nicole has had her own business running workshops for adolescents as well as developing and delivering training for the child protection sector, NDIS and Homelessness sectors. She has previously worked for TAFE NSW as a Teacher, Head Teacher and Senior Education Officer. Nicole has also worked for the office of Emergency Management, Resilience NSW and NSW Reconstruction Authority as a Team Leader in the NSW State Disaster Welfare Services, responding to disasters such fire, floods and health matters, and assisting those in need during these critical times.
Nicole has worked for ACWA/CCWT as a contract trainer for 3 years before being successful in joining the team as a Learning and Development Specialist, in a full-time permanent capacity. Nicole Delivers training across CCWT programs, such as RTO training and assessing, in-house training and calendar training.
Nicole has a demonstrated ongoing commitment to ensure that practitioners are well supported and continue to develop their skills and knowledge whilst working in the sector. She is a strong believer that self-care combined with reflective practice contributes to best practice.
