Vanessa has worked in the Disability Sector for over 18 years both in Australia and the UK, across a number of different Non Government Organisations. She has formal qualifications in Psychology, Adult and Continuing Education and Teaching, and a Masters of Education in Child Protection, Human Rights and Social Justice.

Vanessa has established and managed Community Justice Programs, and supported teams to develop skills in working effectively with people with complex needs who have contact, or are at risk of contact, with the criminal justice system. She has managed a variety of service types including supported accommodation, young people leaving care, day services, and respite.
