SJ is a Cross-Cultural Consultant and Academic Researcher specialising in competitiveness, work ethic and Confucianism, the primary cultural value system in East Asia. She brings a wealth of experience from the corporate, public and academic sectors and has applied this in speaking, training and further studies for a decade.
SJ holds MBA at UTS Business School, Sydney, with a focus on International Business as well as a Masters of Research Degree at Macquarie University. Her current research focuses on how global citizens navigate the complexities of cultural differences and building competitiveness in the global village.She is passionate about cross-cultural studies in the field of education with a focus on the application to business and workplace practices.
Recently, SJ published a co-authored research paper about competitiveness and work ethic comparing Eastern and Western countries (including US, UK, Australia, China, Japan, Singapore, and South Korea) in the Asia Pacific Business Review, and most recently, published an article on the insights of East Asian brands in AdNews.
