Russell is the founder and former Creative Director of Innovative Resources, the publishing arm of St Luke’s Anglicare in Bendigo, Central Victoria. He is now the Director of his own consultancy, ‘Metaphors Ink’, in which he continues his passion for creating strengths-based conversation-building tools.

Russell has designed, authored or published over 60 card sets and books, including the popular ‘Strength Cards’, ‘The Bears’ and ‘The Wrong Stone’, and has facilitated over 600 ‘Tools of the Trade’ workshops.
In 2014 he was awarded an Order of Australia Medal for service to social work and the community.
