Learn strategies and skills to skillfully design, plan, manage or participate in a project from start to finish. Try out a range of project management tools to successfully implement and monitor the project. Learn the fundamentals of a project management framework.
Specifically learn:
- What is different about managing or working in a project than other ongoing parts of your work
- Project management phases
- How to design and plan a project well from the beginning
- How to use project management tools to organise project activities
- How to manage project resources
- Project risk assessment and management
- About motivating other people involved in the projects, managing and working in project teams and managing relationships
- Implementing, monitoring, reviewing and reporting on the project
- How to confidently meet project challenges and solve problems
- What is involved in ending the project – finishing, evaluating and where necessary, sustaining the work of the project.
You will have the opportunity to work on their real workplace projects and are encouraged to bring along information on a current or upcoming project.
You will learn to:
- Design and plan a project using a project management framework
- Identify and use a range of project management tools and strategies to use in your projects
- Develop strategies for working on projects with other people within and outside their organisation
- Use problem solving strategies to manage common project problems
- Reflect on your current project/s
